Cycle (instrumental)
Music by Marilla Waesche Pivonka.
This composition was inspired by the
following poem written by my mother.
"Cycle"
Near the ruptured cocoon
The struggler rests
Viewing again the world from which
She had spun away
Self-encased in self.
Comes light through the time of darkness,
After the lonely tumult, exhausted peace.
In slow rhythm the trembling wings unfold
And test potentiality.
Tempo quickens and a flutter lifts.
On golden wings, air-floating, soars
The grub who only crawled.

Easy
Music and Lyrics by Marilla Waesche Pivonka.
Don't talk to me if you won't stay with me
I want your nights and your days to be
Easy
Please be easy with me
Don't bring me down too fast
The moon is full
You got my heart before I felt it pull
Easy
Please be easy with me
Tides inside are moving past control
I didn't think I'd lose my very soul
So easy
So easily
Times of loving for me were through
Until I found I could be with you
So easy
So easily

Friend, Buddy, Pal
Music and lyrics by Marilla Waesche Pivonka.
Special thanks to Ron Garrigues and Joe Campbell.
Chorus:
You're my friend, you're my buddy, you're my pal forever
To be a friend to you will be my
highest endeavor
Do you know I've got those shadows
on the run
From the hero with his thousand
faces in the sun
As long as you're with me with such heart and such humor
Time will never sever, you're my
friend forever
Chorus...
Do you know we hold the present
legends in our hands
Dreams and traditions of infinite lands
As long as you are with me, time and space can have their play
Your being here today has swept
my blues away
Chorus...
We've shared dreams confusion
hopes sublime
You've been somewhere beside
me all the time
As long as you're with me, time
and space may have their play
You being here today has swept
my blues away
Chorus...

If all my dreams
Music and lyrics by Marilla Waesche Pivonka.
If all my dreams could be reality
We'd share our destiny
You'd be here with me
Now you've found another for your dreams
Though our love will last
Is our time together passed
I just don't know
If my reappearing in your life has left you confused,
Look in this mirror made of sand
My soul's turning in your hand
And if there's a chance our lives might take another turn
We could love each other well
- gently learn
- if love can return...

Somebody to love
Music and lyrics by Marilla Waesche Pivonka.
I'm happy just by myself alone
With the freedom of a rolling stone
The sun and the stars, the wind
and the trees
Are all the friends I need
To sing and to laugh, to dance
and to dream
To stand on my own, to you it may
seem everything is just right...
but maybe not quite...
Because... sometimes... I might like...
Somebody to love
Somebody to love me
Someone that I might
Cuddle through the night with
Somebody you love
Somebody who loves you
Someone to hold
Through the dark and cold...
Sing your song
Sing it true
Sing it together the whole day through
Sing your song
Sing it true
Sing it together your whole life through

Distances
Music and lyrics by Marilla Waesche Pivonka.
You asked if I would stay,
and all that I could say
is that I've always loved the sun
the ocean
you came to show me
sierras, beiges, greens,
the landscapes of your dreams,
another sense of time
You asked if I could stay
and all that I would say,
is that I have tried to love you, and
ended feeling blue
you came to remind me
what it means to care enough
to let the other grow
on their own
sometimes alone
Are we too different to share
the distances,
That others engage in so easily
when new
I'd like to try again with you...
Vocals: Marilla with Crystal Reeves.
Piano: Marilla Waesche Pivonka.
Violin and Viola: Crystal Reeves.
You're on your way
Music and lyrics by Marilla Waesche Pivonka.
Special thanks to Dean Still, and to my sister Jillian,
at whose marriage to Richard Seaton, this song was first performed.
You're on your way
Take the sun to light your day
Take the stars to guide you anywhere... anywhere
Let the tides be fine
Let the winds blow free
Let your wings and sails
Like your soul set free... sail free
Chorus:
And when you wonder
How we are at home
In your dreams
See us smile...
And smile awhile...
While you're on your way
Take the sun to light your day
Take the stars and the moon
Around the world... come home soon
Chorus...
Vocals: Marilla with Kris Gannon and Jeannine Herron.
Piano: Marilla Waesche Pivonka.
